kW means kilowatt, which is the unit of measurement that charging points are sized by. The higher the kW, the quicker your car will charge. For instance a 7.2kW charger will charge your vehicle twice as quickly as a 3.6kW one. So whenever possible you should always buy the highest kW option where possible.

Please have a look on the website, where we have provided information on three brands: the solar adaptive ‘Zappi’, our economy range ‘Evec’ and our favourite charging point ‘Ohme’. We can also recommend you an EV charging point based on the answers you have given us, this will be tailored to your lifestyle and property needs.

Based on the rate of electricity at 14 per kWh, it would cost around £8 to fully charge a 60kWh electric car, which would give approximately 200 miles of range.

It is important that your charging point has access to your Wi-Fi network at the installation location, you can test this before the install by using your mobile phone. If you cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network, you could consider using a Wi-Fi booster. Once installed, you will then be able to control your smart EV charger through the associated app.

Yes, they will able to use the charging point if they have the correct cable to connect to their vehicle. We can also provide you with an adapter, that will go from a type 2 to type 1 or type 1 to type 2.
