Charge your EV with power from the grid, solar, or both
Zappi is a fully adaptive EV charging point, that can operate as a standard charger by harnessing power from the grid. It also has charging modes that use 100% green energy generated from your own home Solar PV system or wind generation. This helps to increase your Return On Investment (ROI) for your panels and electric car, meaning that you can charge your EV at home for free!
Three EV charging modes
Zappi provides you with flexible charging tailored to your lifestyle and demands. It has three charging modes, with options of a ‘fast’ charge to get you going in a hurry, or if you are happy to wait for your charge using 100% renewable energy.
Eco charging
This offers a combination of green energy and power from the grid, generally taking advantage of cheaper rates overnight, but it can also charge using 100% green energy. It continually adjusts the charging power in response to changes in generation or power usage in your home.
Eco+ charging
This utilises power from the grid or your renewable energy source, however this is constantly adjusted according to the amount generated and the power consumption in your home. EV charging will pause if there is too much-imported power, continuing only when there is surplus free power available.
Fast charging
This charges your vehicle at maximum power 7.4kw, which can be from a renewable energy source or simply from the grid. .
Set timers
Zappi charging points give you complete control, when paired with the myenergi app, you can set timers to utilise economy tariffs with your electricity provider. You can also use the boost function and monitor your devices. It really is an intelligent charging point that evolved in the UK.
